Aphios Pharma, with a valuation of $71 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company is developing cannabis-based therapeutics for pain, anxiety, opioid use disorder, and multiple sclerosis. The green biotech company is developing the technology for sustained release of nano encapsulated cannabinoids for chronic medical needs. Aphios Pharma has received grants from the National Cancer Institute, NCCIH, and National Institute of Drug Abuse and has spent millions of dollars on drug manufacturing and drug delivery technologies. Trevor P. Castor founded Aphios Pharma in July 2018. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $50,000 and a maximum target of $1,000,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for marketing, R&D, and G&A expenses.
