Athlete+, with a valuation of $12 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company is building the world’s first athlete-centric financial services community and platform. The business aims to provide equitable finance and monetization products, including banking and financial fitness tools, for all athletes. Athlete+ has already secured an FDIC-insured sponsor bank and has over 40 universities signed up for the prelaunch. Michael Fingado and Brian Dzingai founded Athlete+ in October 2021. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $200,000 and a maximum target of $1 million. The campaign proceeds will be used for product development, hiring, marketing, compliance, and legal fees.
