Brooklyn Grocery Cooperative is also known as “Know Thy Food” and is focused on promoting sustainable living with its high-quality groceries. The co-op has successfully transitioned from a buyer’s club to a public store and has hosted several live music and entertainment shows for children featuring local talent. Brent Paes, Jocelyn Mueller, Guy Berliner, Alex Iversen-Cress, Nicole Elovitz, and others founded Brooklyn Grocery Cooperative in May 2015. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $50,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for deposits and move-in costs, moving and relocation expenses, debt consolidation, signage and mural, and purchasing a new refrigerator and freezer.
