Houston is known for its adventurous spirit. As a city built on pioneers, outlaws, and invention, there needs to be a beer that can match Houston’s daring and rebellious spirit.

And there is -- it’s the Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, or “Buffbrew.” Known for their creative, innovative (and delicious!) beers, Buffbrew has already established a successful brand and following in the past six years. They plan to open seven days a week, offer over 40 beers on tap, and have a full-service kitchen.

This Buffbrew Taproom will be located in the Sawyer Yards Creative Campus, which houses 10 buildings, over 400 studios, and over 500 artists on its 40 acres. After all, where better a place for Houston’s most creative brewery than smack within the city’s creative nexus? The existing commercial businesses and independent work spaces will generate steady traffic for the taproom. Plus, Sawyer Yards is adjacent to the Heights, which is known to be one of Houston’s most walkable districts, as well as a fast-appreciating residential area of single-family homes. In fact, most of Heights’ residents are 25-54 years old, with a median annual household income of $82,000, which aligns squarely with craft beer clientele.

Co-founders Rassul Zarinfar and Ryan Robertson have deep beer industry experience, as well a deep love for Houston and their clients. They know the city and their customers have been good to them, and they see this as a chance to give back. If they make money, you make money, so everyone wins.
