COMPETE is a sports app all about getting up and competing. Their app allows athletes to compete against anyone else in the world -- anywhere, anytime. The COMPETE idea is provisionally patent-pending, and it takes video game features enhanced by augmented reality (AR) to motivate people to get up and move. COMPETE’s app gamifies the competition and offers real-time coaching, allowing people to measure their performance metrics in real time. So far, 500 players have already signed up to test the MVP, and COMPETE believes that ultimately it will “...help people overcome the barriers to entry in each sport, such as cost, location, exposure, knowledge, and lack of fitness or motivation.”
