Farm from a Box is raising funds on Republic. The company has created an innovative off-grid toolkit for sustainable, tech-powered agriculture. Farm from a Box allows customers to easily and effectively start and maintain a 2-acre planted farm and connects communities to healthy and sustainably grown food. The modularly designed farm system of Farm from a Box provides the tools and technology needed to support a 2-acre off-grid farm and will be sold directly to consumers and large-scale buyers. Scott Thompson and Brandi DeCarli founded Farm from a Box in February 2012. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $100,000 and a maximum target of $999,999. The campaign proceeds will be used for marketing, research and development, manufacturing, equipment purchases, future wages, debt repayment, general working capital, customer development, and contingencies.
