Are you someone who cooks a lot? Or are you a natural clutz who might run a high risk of starting a kitchen fire (or know someone who is)? If you said yes, then investing in FireBot could be for you. Their device helps you react to, and control, stove top fires in a save, quick, and easy way.
FireBot is here to save the kitchen-fire day! Their small, battery-powered device automatically activates in the case of a stove top fire and properly extinguishes it to prevent damage and injury. It attaches to the underside of your range hood and remains out of sight. Then, it waits until it reads an abnormally high temperature that signals an out-of-control stovetop fire before becoming activated. Once it goes, it sprays environmentally friendly, non-toxic, water-based fire suppressant to extinguish the fire, while also activating a warning alarm and sending a z-wave signal to turn off the electric or gas stove. FireBot is designed to pass UL-300A certification testing, meaning it can keep a four-burner stove top fire extinguished for a minimum of four minutes -- including even grease fires! The company is working on the device’s final components, and they have manufacturing facilities in place.
The Bottom Line:
While digital bots on our computer are great, they can’t help us with emergencies like kitchen fires. The FireBot is a different type of bot though -- and it can help. With ranges and cooktops accounting for 62% of home cooking fire incidents and $1.2B in property damage, FireBot is here to help put out the heat and keep you safe...one extinguished stove top fire at a time.
