The company produces bottled water kefir, a fermented drink made of water and a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts. The probiotics of water kefir play a significant role in maintaining gut health. Goodwolf was founded by Keenan Smith in 2016. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum raise of $25,000 and a maximum raise of $194,000, and the funds will be used towards marketing, research and development, equipment purchases, general working capital, and slotting. Goodwolf has distribution agreements with UNFI and KeHE and sold over 11,000 cases in 2020. The company also increased its retail door count from 140 to 300 from January 2020 to April 2021 and was profitable in the first quarter of 2021.
