Halcium Energy, with a valuation of $8.9 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company makes small wind turbines with no external moving parts. Halcium Energy’s wind turbines are specifically designed to produce energy in towns and cities at homes and businesses and can take wind from multiple directions at once. The company has already received interest in its PowerShell from over 40,000 people, businesses, non-profits, and governments across the world, and over 3,000 have signed up to become installers or distributors. Nicholas Hodges founded Halcium Energy in January 2021. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $50,000 and a maximum target of $1.24 million. The campaign proceeds will be used for prototype engineering, legal fees, engineering consulting fees, materials and equipment, tooling, hiring, and inventory.
