Who Should Be Interested:
Do you love excellent coffee? Do you want to have a full coffee experience when you order your cup of brew? And, maybe most importantly, do you live in the Chicago area? If you said yes, then investing in Ipsento might be right for you. Their Chicago-based coffee business is looking to branch out and open additional locations to bring its coffee to more people -- one carefully brewed cup at a time.

The Company:
Based in Chicago, Ipsento is a coffee business that believes every cup of coffee tells a story. Ipsento sources coffee from coffee farms and then very carefully roasts, brews, and sells it in shop. They also offer public classes, includings tastings and latte art, as well as wholesale coffee, for which they have 45 signed accounts. See, Ipsento isn’t just any coffee company. They’re a coffee company that wants to brew not only the best cup for their customers, but the best experience as well. In fact, Ipsento was named America’s Best Coffee House by DaVinci Gourmet in 2013 and one of America’s 10 best coffee houses by USA Today in 2014. Now, they want to expand beyond the two coffee shops they already have and open three additional stores over the next four years in the Chicago area. Their two shops currently generate $200,000 in monthly revenue, and another monthly $45,000 through their roasting facility. These added locations will generate a combined estimated $7 million in annual revenues, as well as bring the Ipsento experience to more people. After all -- Ipsento is two Latin words put together that mean “self discovery,” and Ipsento’s mission is to do just that -- encourage self discovery through coffee, as well as engaging people through their community.

The Bottom Line:
Ipsento knows what it means to source, roast, and serve coffee with class -- and uniqueness. Their passion for coffee can be felt, as can their passion for the people they’re brewing for. By focusing on the whole customer coffee experience, Ipsento offers so much more than just a simple cup of joe.
