Kaptain, with a valuation of $6.3 million, is raising funds on NetCapital. The company has developed a platform that empowers users to explore new places and try new sports. The discovery and planning platform functions both as a community and as a marketplace for rentals, gears, and guides. Kaptain has been launched on the Apple App Store, supported 1,400 outdoor activities across 33 sports, and has ten commitments from gear shop owners. Kirk Magnuson and Erik Magnuson founded Kaptain in April 2021. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $1 million. The campaign proceeds will be used for the rental marketplace, marketing, salaries, activity data contracting, hiring, and general and administrative expenses.
