Known as “Kind Katie” by her friends and family, she was a devout Christian who not only talked the talk, but walked the walk, of her faith. She was known for the kindness, compassion, and care she showed everyone around her, and she was taken from this world too soon when she died tragically in a car accident. Now, her family and friends want to create a movie in her namesake. Titled “Kind Katie,” the film hopes to preserve the spirit of Katie Beth, encouraging others to learn to live, love, and believe in faith like Kind Katie did.

Believers have proven time and time again they will support faith-based films. 2016 was known by many as the year of the Bible in films, and the successes were evident. “Miracles from Heaven” brought in $61.7 million, “Risen” took in $36.8 million, and, most noteworthy, “Hacksaw Ridge” was nominated for seven Oscars and won two of them. With “Kind Katie,” the producers are giving believers the chance to show their support for Christian films right from the start - not just at the box office. In the the Old Testament, people raised money to build their temple. In the Parable of the Talents, Matthew’s message was to invest what God has given you in Kingdom pursuits. This film is a chance for Christians to do just that.

Jon Graham and Joshua Sims will be the co-producers, writers, and managers of this film. Between the two of them and their team, they have over a decade of film and TV experience. Credits include NCIS, Redemption, Breaking Bad, and Letters to God. And now, they want to create a film by Christians, for Christians, that they believe will impact the entertainment industry. Katie gave her gift of kindness to the world, and they want to help that gift continue to give, allowing her loving legacy to live on.
