Beginning June 1st, 2022, KingsCrowd Memberships are changing.

Between feedback from our current Members and a year of reflection on our Membership tiers, we realized there was an opportunity to offer more value to all of our users through a simplified membership model. So we’re restructuring our Membership tiers to better fit investors’ needs. 

Moving forward there will be three ways to be a KingsCrowd Member – through a free account, Edge Membership, or Edge Pro Membership.

The basics of KingsCrowd’s products aren’t changing. We’re still providing actionable investment intelligence to help investors make smart investment decisions. Here’s a summary of how access to certain KingsCrowd features is changing:

  • Founder Profiles will be free for anyone with a KingsCrowd account.
  • The Company Search (which lets you filter and sort through more than 4,800 startups) tool will be free for anyone with a KingsCrowd account.
  • Quantitative ratings on every startup raising capital online will be available for just $14.95 monthly (or $149 annually) through our new Edge Membership.
  • Risk ratings for every startup raising capital online will be available through our new Edge Pro Membership at $49.95 monthly or $499 annually.
  • Analyst Reports will be available through our new Edge Pro Membership ($49.95 monthly or $499 annually)

Why We’re Changing Memberships

We’re making these changes for many reasons. One of the most important is feedback from Members like you. Our previous Membership tiers were confusing. And the prices didn’t align well with investors’ needs. We listened. And we think we’ve found a better solution that should make KingsCrowd better for you.

Another factor in these changes is our mission. KingsCrowd is here to provide actionable and data-driven investment intelligence to everyone. That’s why we created a proprietary startup rating algorithm that uses hundreds of data points to score a startup’s investment potential. What This Means for Current Members

Starting June 1, 2022, new KingsCrowd Members will choose to create a free account or become either an Edge or Edge Pro Member. But how does this change affect our current Members?

Merlin Members

All current Merlin Members will become Edge Pro Members on June 1. They will have access to all the same features plus exclusive access to new product updates and content. They will be charged $49.95 (for monthly subscriptions) or $499 (for annual subscriptions) when their Membership renews.

Pro Members

Current Pro Members will become Edge Members. But as a thanks for being with KingsCrowd, we will automatically provide three months of access to the new Edge Pro Membership tier (no action needed). 

When that access ends on August 31, 2022, existing Pro Members will be converted to Edge Members at $14.95 (for monthly subscriptions) or $149 (for annual subscriptions). 

Starter Members

All current Starter Members will become Edge Members. As a thanks for being with KingsCrowd, we’ll automatically provide three months of Edge access at Starter Members’ current $10 monthly price (no action needed). 

When that access ends on August 31, 2022, existing Starter Members will be converted to Edge Members at $14.95 (for monthly subscriptions) or $149 (for annual subscriptions).

Free Members

All current free accounts will gain access to Founder Profiles and KingsCrowd’s comprehensive Company Search tool.

I’m currently a KingsCrowd Member. Do I need to do anything in my account?

Nope! We’ll handle all the account conversions automatically.

Will I lose access to my portfolio?

No. All your member data, portfolio, and follows will be retained.
