MicroVision Optical, with a valuation cap of $5.5 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company makes ultra-premium and affordable eyewear and brings them directly to the customers. The business has multiple patents, decades of technological innovation in reader design, and proven expertise in manufacturing and logistics. David Johnson founded MicroVision Optical in September 2010. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum goal of $300,000 and a maximum goal of $1,070,000, will be used for social media marketing campaigns, website rework, employee retention, inventory build, and overheads. MicroVision Optical has already sold more than 1 million pairs of readers and sunglasses. The readers have also made it to Oprah Winfrey’s Favorite Things list.
