Medical patients don’t want to look like patients. And yet, even though one in three Americans suffer from an illness, there’s very little out there to help.
Until Mighty Well came along, that is! Mighty Well has designed a collection of everyday essentials that helps people go from treatment back to everyday life. Their “wearable wellness” products embrace the athleisure look, and they apply the latest and most innovative fabric technologies out there to meet patient needs. Right now, they’re focused on cancer patients, diabetics, and those needing long-term vascular access with PICC lines, ports, and feeding tubes.
Their original patent-pending product, PICCPerfect, has already sold over 2,500 units in all 50 states, 17 countries, and 4 continents. It’s also co-branded with top medical device companies, available in every cancer center in Rhode Island, and sold on Amazon Prime. Other pieces in the Mighty Well collection include the Mighty Med Organizer, the Mighty Pack, the Mighty Tank, the Mighty Tee, and the Mighty Wrap Jacket. All of these are not only fashionable, comfortable, and convenient, but they all also help conceal medical supplies and devices, medications, and supplements.
After all, medical fashion is a $40 billion market globally and a $25 billion market opportunity in the US -- and it’s currently unbranded. Mighty Well is here to change that, and they’re finding mighty success. They’ve had 250% revenue growth from Q1 to Q3 of 2017 with their first product launch; they expect 70% average profit margins for the next five product lines; and their previous incubators include Draper University, MassChallenge, and WIN Lab. Plus, their design team members used to work with Nike, Reebok and Adidas, and they recruited the former CEO of Ralph Lauren Footwear. They also got the former CMO of Reebok to invest a quarter of a million dollars.
The bottom line is that Mighty Well wants to create a community. They want to turn sickness into strength. Patients should be able to go from chemo to coffee dates without anyone knowing the difference. And now, with Mighty Well -- they can.
