National Energy Improvement Fund is raising funds on Honeycomb. The company offers loans to people of all income levels to reduce carbon emissions and energy costs. The NEIF loans are used for heating, cooling, roofing, insulation, and other energy and resilience improvements in homes and buildings, including insulation, windows, HVAC, generators, lighting, and battery storage. To date, the National Energy Improvement Fund has financed over 25,000 energy and resilience projects for more than $446 million and services an energy efficiency loan portfolio of $90 million. Peter J. Krajsa and Matthew H. Brown founded the National Energy Improvement Fund in July 2007. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $1 million. The campaign proceeds will be used for program expansion, technology, marketing and program development, and pilot portfolio loan programs.
