Cornbread Hemp was founded by Eric Zipperle and Jim Higdon in 2019 and has raised over $160,000 since its founding. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $107,000, and the funds will be used towards marketing initiatives, payroll and staff expansion, inventory expansion, and R&D. Cornbread Hemp generates an average monthly profit of $4,000 to $6,000 and reported 52% revenue growth from 2019 to 2020.
Soturi Kitchen, a food joint in San Jose, CA, is raising funds on MainVest. The kitchen offers healthy, dairy-free, and gluten-free foods made with natural ingredients. Soturi Kitchen currently operates through local farmers’ markets and has a growing demand for its food. Soturi Kitchen was founded by Sway Soturi, who has decades of experience in the food industry. The proceeds of the current round of crowdfunding, with a minimum target of $30,000 and a maximum target of $107,000, will be used to expand the company by purchasing an existing coffee shop. Soturi Kitchen has a loyal customer base in San Jose, San Francisco, and the surrounding areas and is the only local allergen-friendly food service in its neighborhood.
1World Online, with a valuation cap of $45 million, is raising funds on Republic. The company provides smart and native content creation and advertising solutions for the top brands of the world. The custom content of 1World Online includes specialized polls, quizzes, and surveys related to the brands and engages users constructively. 1World Online was founded by Alex Fedosseev in August 2011 and has raised over $12 million since its inception. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum and maximum target of $107,000, and the proceeds will be used to expand through users’ contributions and higher advertising conversion rates. 1World Online has over 3,000 registered publishers and advertisers and generated more than $2 million in revenue in 2019.
Infinovate, with a post-money valuation of $12 million, is raising funds on NetCapital. It is a financial platform that does complex performance analytics and creates predictive models to meet the needs of the financial advisors, analysts, and investors. Infinovate platform analyzes multiple funds and displays them in a dashboard pattern for users to do daily return calculations for the individual funds. Infinovate is led by Blair Buick, Jason Ozur, Greg Kushner, and Floyd W. Kephart and was founded in 2016. The current crowdfunding round of the company has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000, and the proceeds will be used towards technology development, debt reduction, marketing, and compensation for managers. Infinovate provides an online, real-time, and predictive modeling platform that has been tested for three years by a high-growth registered investment advisory firm.
Reflex Protect, with a $9 million valuation cap, is raising funds on Republic. The company creates non-lethal self-defense solutions for schools, homes, and hospitals using its patented technology. Reflex Protect’s patented Reflex point-and-shoot spray head shoots its revolutionary Presidia Gel, causing temporary blindness and pain to an attacker to debilitate him. Reflex Protect was founded by Joe Anderson and Steve Mangold in June 2017 and has raised over $1 million since its inception. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000, will be used towards targeted media awareness, expansion of sales team, marketing, additional online training video production, and R&D. Reflex Protect has projected revenue of $750,000 in 2020, tripling 2019 revenue, with a gross margin of 65-70%.
Stone’s Throw Hash, a food business in Baltimore, MD, is raising funds on Honeycomb Credit. The business serves delicious and convenient hash bowls made with diced sweet potatoes and a combination of healthy proteins. The raw material is all sourced from local farms nearby. Stone’s Throw Hash is owned by Ben James and started its operations in May 2019. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum goal of $25,000 and a maximum goal of $30,000, and the proceeds will be used to launch frozen hash bowls in grocery stores. Stone’s Throw Hash makes gluten-free, paleo-friendly hash bowls that are high in protein and fiber. The company was accepted into the Loyola Baltipreneur Accelerator Program in November 2019 and the Union Kitchen Accelerator Program in April 2020.
