About this raise
Passive House Duplex is raising funds on Small Change. It is a proposed duplex and carriage house in Southwest Minneapolis that combines sustainability and a missing middle housing approach. Passive House Duplex will include three units of new construction housing built on the most stringent energy standard for buildings and will be air-tight, super-insulated, solar gain optimized, and well-ventilated. The project will replace a former single-family house and will educate the local community on Passive House standards. James Kumon and Faith Kumon founded Passive House Duplex in May 2024. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $125,000 and a maximum target of $250,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for construction costs.
