Summary
In this founder profile, we sit down with Nick Venti, the Co-Founder and CEO of PlusMusic, a groundbreaking platform that integrates music into the gaming experience. Nick shares his vision of making PlusMusic the go-to solution for gamers and musicians, creating a unique blend of both worlds. Learn how PlusMusic is revolutionizing the music industry for the gaming community and what milestones they aim to achieve in the next year.
In your own words, how would you describe your company?
Like Spotify, but built for gamers.
What inspired you to take the leap and start this company?
My co-founder and I saw a big gap in the market with gamers and music. We saw them as the next generation of consumers and the opportunity for musicians to grow their careers going forward.
Who is on your team and how did you come together?
Brian Karscig (bands: Louis XIV, The Killers) and I(bands: Nicky Venus, Republic of Letters) co-founded the company. We met years back working on musical projects. We assembled a team of amazing developers, AI experts from Nielsen and Gracenote, gamers, and musicians. It’s a good crew who all believe in this mission
What does the competitive landscape look like, and how do you differentiate?
When it comes to games + music, it’s a good time to be in business. We are farthest along, but we’re happy to see a few new companies join in. The category needs more players. Then the larger music category has names you would know, Spotify, etc. But we don’t think of them as direct competition. Our market is the Gen Z/Gen Alpha focused on the gamer segment. Which is pretty large.
What is your plan to generate revenues in the next two years? What do you project these revenues to be?
We plan to generate revenues through subscription models for gamers, licensing deals with game developers, and partnerships with streaming platforms. In the next two years, we project to reach $1-2 million in revenue by leveraging our unique adaptive AI technology and expanding our user base across multiple platforms.
Do you already have potential customers ready to use your product?
Yes, we have 17k users already using the PlusMusic app. We have a partnership with a large gaming platform and have partnerships with several mMid-tier game developers. Our early access program has received positive feedback, and we are excited to roll out our platform to a broader audience soon.
