Traveling is a hassle, or at least it often feels that way. From trying to cram everything into a carry-on bag, to elbowing through crowded airports, to trying to find an outlet to charge your phone, it seems to be more of a pain than a pleasure these days.
Well, Samsara Luggage is here to change all that. Samsara wants to rethink the essence of travel, and they’re starting with the travel building block: your luggage. They believe luggage should support your journey, not hinder it, and that’s exactly what Samsara’s suitcase does. Made out of aviation-grade aluminum alloy (lightweight and long lasting), this piece of luggage has a flat top that doubles as a desk, a unique wheel design to make for smooth transport, four litres of space inside, built-in LED lights, a built-in portable power bank (with 3 USB outlets!), and an app to let you know if you’re luggage rolls away or is being opened without you there. Whew! It’s basically the James Bond of suitcases.
In fact, Newsweek actually said this is the kind of suitcase that James Bond would snap up for himself. Travel+Leisure, Yahoo Style, Wired, and The Verge are just a few of the other reviews that gave this gadgety suitcase a big thumbs up. The global travel industry is worth $7.6 trillion these days, and carry-on luggage makes up 33% of the global retail luggage market. Add in the fact that particular market is expected to grow from $185 billion in 2017 to $196 billion in 2021, and you see why getting on the suitcase train is pretty lucrative. And while there are other smart suitcases out there, Samsara seems to be the one that has that little something extra. A little something special.
After all, it’s already had two successful launches on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, selling 800 units and raising $350,000. Samsara itself means continuous motion, and that’s what they want you to be able to accomplish. With their suitcase, you can travel worry-free, hassle-free, and annoyance-free. It’s the modern day suitcase for the modern day traveler.
