[Closed for Investment] Solar for Smith’s Supermarket is raising funds on Climatize. It is a solar energy project to be deployed at Smith’s Supermarket in Altha, Florida. Solar for Smith’s Supermarket will include 492 American-made solar panels and advanced batteries to produce 253,851 kWh of solar energy each year. The project has received a grant from the US Department of Agriculture and will cut greenhouse gas emissions and promote energy independence. John Carey founded Solar for Smith’s Supermarket in July 2024. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $500,000 and a maximum target of $1.07 million. The campaign proceeds will be used to cover the cost of the solar project.
