Spoonful, with a valuation of $11 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company has developed an app that helps people with special dietary needs navigate grocery stores and restaurants. The users get to specify their allergies and dietary restrictions, scan labels and instantly find products that match their diet. Spoonful is led by a team of leading dieticians, MDs, and clinical nutritionists and has had 80,000 app installs. Deepa Krishnan founded Spoonful in March 2018. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $50,000 and a maximum target of $250,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for product development, marketing, customer support, and operational costs.
