As a franchise of Stumpy’s Hatchet House, the country’s first hatchet house, they plan on opening near Austin’s tech hub, and then opening a second and third location in the area as well. Overall, Stumpy’s plans to grow to 12 locations within the next year after just opening their first venue in April 2016 in New Jersey. In Austin, they’re negotiating a five-year lease for a property in the Domain, and they’re on track to open in Q4 2018.
