Terbine, with a valuation of $55 million, is raising funds on StartEngine. The company has developed a platform for the global exchange of IoT data. The platform takes raw data from machines ranging from land systems to satellites, gives it some context, makes it searchable by users, and makes the data financially valuable. Terbine has raised $3.1 million in previous rounds of financing and is working on building business development relationships. David Knight and Brian Enochson founded Terbine in May 2015. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $9,997.92 and a maximum target of $1,049,997.84. The campaign proceeds will be used to take advantage of the third wave of computing and communications.
