Peanut butter and jelly. Milk and cookies. Tequila and lime juice. All are matches made in heaven. Just like water and local television.
Wait...what?
That’s what The Tetons Group is saying is their new perfect pairing. Mac and cheese can get out of town -- H2O and TV are the new dynamic duo. The Tetons Group is a Wyoming corporation that owns two brands: Jackson Hole Television and Teton H2O. They believe that the two brands can grow by connecting the two together in a mutually synergistic relationship. Jackson Hole Television will be on all Teton H2O product packaging, and Teton H2O will be promoted at all Jackson Hole Television events and promotions, as well as on their social media, websites, and marketing materials.
Jackson Hole is a famous tourist destination. Located in Teton Valley, it has a booming year round tourist industry, and The Tetons Group plans to capitalize on that. With Teton H2O, they see water as a Jackson Hole souvenir - whether the consumer drinks it or takes it home as a collectible, they believe the fresh mountain water will help them remember Jackson Hole. The bottled water market is huge -- more Americans drink bottled water than soda now. As for the TV market -- well, Jackson Hole Television is the only local TV station in the resort town, so they have that covered.
The creators behind this group call themselves the Wolf Pack (seems fitting, for the group that is all about their bottled water and TV, right? Very...er...wolflike). They are the Rodriguez family trio, and one them, the intern, is still in high school. CEO Rubin Rodriguez Jr. brings nearly 30 years of radio and television broadcasting experience leading corporate acquisitions, marketing, planning and development of broadcast properties to the table, as well as a love of Jackson Hole.
Maybe this Jackson Hole water and TV thing is a perfect pairing for some people, but me? I think I’ll stick to pairing wine and cheese. That seems to be a little more dependable than tourist-driven bottled water and local TV.
