About this raise
The Marketplace is raising funds on Silicon Prairie Online. The aim of the business is to support the design/build industry and make Austin, Texas, a world-class design destination. The Marketplace will function as a wholesale shopping destination with products including furniture, rugs, upholstery, flooring, and accessories from local, national, and global brands. It will also work as the brand marketing system and an industry hub. The Marketplace already has ten vendor partners who have reserved their space and paid deposits. Anita Erickson founded The Marketplace in January 2021. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $30,000 and a maximum target of $150,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for the completion of the buildout and payment on an existing business line of credit.
