The company is leading the Eco-Tree Action, which is designed to reverse climate change and make significant impacts on investors and small farmers. World Tree is the largest grower of Empress trees in North and Latin America and has already planted 6,000 acres of trees. The World Tree project provides accessible investment opportunities in sustainable timber and targets high-end markets, including furniture, window blinds, veneers, musical instruments, and surfboards. Wendy Burton founded World Tree in June 2015. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $10,001 and a maximum target of $1.5 million. The campaign proceeds will be used to fund tree farms in the main growing regions of World Tree, farmer marketing and selection, site analysis, farmer training, and audits.
