Alternative Ballistics’ less-lethal impact round, The Alternative, is designed for the law enforcement industry and is undergoing pilot programs with US police departments. The device consists of a specialized alloy projectile and works as a de-escalation tool to preserve lives and ensure officers’ safety. Steven Luna founded Alternative Ballistics in 2020. The current crowdfunding campaign has a maximum target of $11.9 million. The campaign proceeds will be used for salaries and recruitment, sales and marketing, working capital, manufacturing, legal fees, and research and development.
