Black Kahawa Coffee is raising funds on Honeycomb. The company sells roasted coffee wholesale to businesses and grocers and directly to consumers through its website and mobile coffee experience. Black Kahawa Coffee imports its coffee from small farms and estates in East African countries, mostly through direct trade, and has earned MBE and EDGE certifications with the State of Ohio. The business has a loyal customer base and has been featured in The Columbus Dispatch. Douglas Buckley founded Black Kahawa Coffee in March 2019. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $35,000 and a maximum target of $75,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for furnishing and decorating a downtown patio East African coffee experience, hiring, refinancing high-interest debt, paying off a new roaster, and working capital.
