The company has developed ocean surface level constellation of floating sensors persistently gathering data, allowing for more reliable climate and defense predictions. HyperKelp delivers ocean data as a service by deploying sensor-agnostic, hosted payload platforms for maritime awareness. Dr. Graeme Rae and Costas Soler founded HyperKelp in 2021. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $400,000. The campaign proceeds will be used to hire signal processing/data engineer, acquire inventory, general operational cost including partial coverage of officer salariesmarketing, R&D, feature improvements, salaries, cost of goods sold, and SG&A.
