Koi enables streamlined listing, matching, and efficient transactions at scale, enhances access to capital for borrowers, enables greater returns for loan originators, and helps increase investments in LMI communities. The platform plans to make money in the form of fees from investors and originators and later move to a subscription model for services standardizing diligence data. Christien Williams and Gavin Lifrieri founded Koi in January 2024. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $50,000 and a maximum target of $124,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for legal expenses, including vendor contracts and purchase agreement contracts.
