Plum and Mule Community Market is raising funds on Honeycomb. It is a food hub located in an underserved neighborhood of Syracuse, New York, with limited food access. Plum and Mule Community Market’s aim is to promote nutritious locally sourced food and provide education about access to great food to under-resourced communities and school systems. The business serves as an online market, distribution center, and education initiative, bridging the gap between farmers and consumers. Mark Pawliw and Leah de Rosa founded Plum and Mule Community Market in March 2021. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $60,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for purchasing a reach-in freezer and two walk-in coolers, purchasing equipment for the buildout of a brick-and-mortar location, and operating expenses.
