Spotlight: Girls, with a valuation of $2.1 million, is raising funds on CrowdFund Mainstreet. It is a women-owned and women-focused organization that educates, inspires, and activates girls and women to take the lead. Spotlight: Girls produces events, media, and learning experiences with and for girls to promote creativity, leadership, connection, and radical care. The company’s Go Girls! summer camps have been operating since 2008 at a gross margin of 50%, and afterschool clubs at a gross margin of 70%. Lynn Johnson founded Spotlight: Girls in May 2016. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $275,000. The campaign proceeds will be used to bring the Curriculum Development Specialist and the Administrative Specialist full-time and partner with Anasa Troutman, Culture Shift Creative, and Alphabet Rockers.
