VUniverse, with a post-money valuation of $5.8 million, is raising crowdfunding on NetCapital. It is a streaming service guide that helps users choose what they would like to watch next. The service is focused on users’ tastes and preferences and protects their data privacy by not being biased towards paid advertisers. Evelyn Brady-Watters, Monica Brady, and Ryan McManus founded VUniverse in April 2019. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $250,000, and the funds will be used for product development, customer acquisition, and intellectual property. VUniverse already has 1,800 registered users and 11,000 customers on the waitlist. The company has already launched its MVP and contains content from over 27 streaming services.
