Teeccino Is Ready for Explosive Growth
Teeccino, a coffee alternative, has achieved product-market fit and is looking for explosive growth in the coming years.
Cusa Tea & Coffee’s unique botanical extraction process shows a lot of potential. But the company still has more to prove.
Quality or convenience? That is the question.
I fall into the latter category.
And that is particularly true with coffee. I admit it: I am a Folgers Instant Coffee drinker (sue me). My palate is simply not developed enough to truly appreciate the taste of quality coffee.
My colleague recently commented, “If you drink instant coffee, you should be ashamed of yourself.” How nice.
Luckily for him, there is a startup attempting to provide the convenience of instant coffee with the quality of a French press.
Cusa Tea & Coffee is a Colorado-based startup that manufactures instant tea and coffee products using a patented botanical extraction process. Yes, you read that right. You know how face creams have things like “rose extract” in them? Those extracts are made through the same process that Cusa uses to dehydrate its coffee. And the company has licensed this patent for exclusive use in North America.
For the first time in my life, I have found a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company with legitimate technological differentiation. It’s about time.
Let’s break our analysis of Cusa into two parts: the Cusa brand and the Cusa technology.
