World Tree
[Closed for Investment] World Tree, with a valuation of $22.82 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company is leading the Eco-Tree Action designed to reverse climate change and make significant impacts on investors and small farmers. It is the largest grower of Empress trees in North and Latin America and has already planted 6,000 acres of trees. The World Tree project provides accessible investment opportunities in sustainable timber and targets high-end markets, including furniture, window blinds, veneers, musical instruments, and surfboards. Wendy Burton founded World Tree in June 2015. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $100,000 and a maximum target of $500,000. The campaign proceeds will be used for offering costs, farmer success, management fee and office, trees, shipping, and related expenses, brokering the lumber, marketing, carbon program costs, and investor relations.
